Fashion Tip: When Deciding on a New Pair of Sunglasses... - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Yup, don't mind me. I'grand just chillin' hither by the discounted designer sunglasses — you know, taking selfies, mugging for the camera, the usual. 🙂
It happened purely by accident this afternoon. I was walking around Nordies (it'due south their One-half-Yearly Sale) and came up with what I think is a pretty handy fashion tip.
Y'all see, I'm my mother's daughter (the adult female hasn't paid total price for anything, like, E'er), and a bunch of the sunglasses were on sale.
So here'due south the tip: it'south kind of hard to see what yous really look similar when you're trying on sunglasses in a shop, am I right? Fifty-fifty with the mirrors. Start, the glasses are tinted, and and then at that place's the overhead lighting, which is the opposite of flattering and almost never colour accurate.
Then. I started snapping selfies and realized — dang! It's a pretty good style to meet if a mode of glasses is working.
Of course, you know that I had to share this newfound knowledge with the ladies next to me in the store, and pretty presently all of us were trying on sunglasses and taking selfies with our phones, haha!
I think I may have accidentally triggered a sunglasses selfie shopping movement. 🙂
Those Aviators by Ray Ban in the meridian pic were the first ones that defenseless my middle (very punny!).
I felt like Carrie Bradshaw at a baseball park circa the SATC early years.
That pair was also very comfortable, but I nixed them because I call up y'all take to be extremely stylish or starring in an onetime episode of Chips (remember that bear witness?) to pull them off successfully.
Next, this pair of tortoiseshell Kate Spade true cat center spectacles. I liked the shape, but since they weren't one of the pairs on sale (They somehow got mixed up with the sale stuff… Don't you hate that?), they were a no-go.
The final pair I tried on was this pair by Tory Burch, the 56mm Cat Centre Sunglasses.
Hello, sassy-pants!
They were originally $149, marked downwards to $98, and as well come with a case, a pouch and a 2-year warranty.
And since my birthday is in a couple weeks… 🙂
I haven't been able to detect them online in this same shade, but your local store might accept them in stock (here'southward the ruby-red ones, simply they're full price, if you're interested).
Yes, of course the cat lady would end upward with true cat eye sunglasses…
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
